Conflict is a fact of life, it's natural. The first step to creating the capacity to build peace is to acknowledge this simple fact. Conflict is everywhere, it is a universal phenomenon. Moreover, conflict is not necessarily bad, nor is it inherently good; conflict simply is.

This is the foundation of our approach. As conflict analysts, we subscribe to the idea that conflict is natural. Therefore, it is our approach to conflict that produces the negative or positive lens through which it is viewed and experienced.
